UV protection for sports goggles

In addition to preventing accidental injury when exercising outdoors, it is equally important to protect your eyes from harmful UV rays. Sports goggles are the key to achieving this goal.

The harm of UV light to the eyes
There are three types of ultraviolet light, UVA, UVB and UVC, of which UVB and UVC rays are the most destructive. Long-term exposure to these UV rays can lead to serious eye diseases such as keratitis, cataracts, and macular degeneration, seriously affecting vision health.

UV protection of sports goggles
High-quality sports goggles use special lens materials to block harmful UV rays effectively. This can not only protect the eyes from UV damage but also prevent eye diseases in the future to a certain extent.

Selection of different UV protection levels
The UV protection level of sports goggles is usually measured by the UV400 or EN ISO 12312-1 standard. Among them, UV400 can block 100% of UVA and UVB light, which is the highest protection level. EN ISO 12312-1 is graded from 1 to 6, with level 6 providing the strongest UV protection.

For outdoor sports, we strongly recommend sports goggles with UV400 or EN ISO 12312-1 Level 5 and above protection. Only in this way can we really protect our precious eyes.

The importance of UV protection in sports
When we exercise outdoors, the amount of UV exposure to our eyes is much higher than in daily life. This makes UV protection especially important during sports. Wearing the right sports goggles not only protects our eyesight but also allows us to focus on the sport itself and enjoy it wholeheartedly.
